Album: Johnny Cash, At Folsom Prison (Legacy Edition), (Sony BMG)

Released last year in the US to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the original concerts, this deluxe edition gathers, for the first time, all the material recorded over the Man in Black's two shows to the men in stripes.

Even with a DVD documentary and a wealth of add-ons from support acts Carl Perkins and the Statler Brothers, this is Cash's moment and there are spine-tingling tunes aplenty. Heartfelt, full of humour and hungry for acceptance, this is a worthy document of the performances of a lifetime.

Pick of the album: It would have to be 'Folsom Prison Blues', wouldn't it?
