What, indeed, was expected of this London quartet, you might wonder, such has been the hype and counter-hype expended on them in recent months?
Presumably not this unremittingly OK collection of hazy pop-rock singalongs paying anodyne homage to the Ramones, Jesus and Mary Chain and, er, Interpol. Lyrics are rhyming fodder, vocals are assiduously vacant, and only the gauchely bitter "Post Break-Up Sex" leaves any real aftertaste.
