And you can see what they're getting at with the "cubist" angle. But whether it works entirely as fully inhabited music is moot. Some of it is lovely: meshed tropes, clever twists, new angles. But occasionally it sounds slightly contrived, as if specially designed for the well-appointed modern living space/psyche. Beautifully recorded and packaged, of course.
