The Three Lions: Davids Cameron and Beckham to star alongside Duke of Cambridge in new Edinburgh Fringe play (well, actors playing them)
Prime Minister David Cameron, David Beckham and the Duke of Cambridge are to be portrayed together on stage in a new comedy production shown at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
New play The Three Lions will be set in a Swiss hotel room just hours before England made its ill-fated bid to host the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
It has been written by actor William Gaminara who left BBC1 series Silent Witness in February after more than a decade playing Professor Leo Dalton.
The production will follow Mr Cameron, Becks and Prince William as they try to thrash out a plan to bring the tournament back to the UK for the first time since 1966. The 2018 contest went to Russia, a decision which led to many cries of foul play.
Casting has not been finalised for the production to be staged at Edinburgh's Pleasance Beyond venue from July 31 to August 26.
