TV Update
TV Asia, a satellite channel for Asians, has successfully completed its trials (which started on 8 July) and will become paid- for as from 1 September. Subscriptions will be handled by Sky: the service is broadcast from 6am to 4pm on the same frequency as the Comedy Channel and from midnight to 6am on Sky One. Broadcasting principally in Hindi, Urdu and English, TV Asia is also producing Bharat Ek Khoj, adapted from Pandit Nehru's history of the Indian sub-continent.
