Channel 4’s My Big Fat Gypsy Christmas is a unique insight into two extravagant weddings and a First Communion ceremony in the Irish travelling community.

If the thought of food doesn’t make you nauseous after a week of over-indulgence, watch Jamie and his mate hang out with Gary Barlow in Jamie & Jimmy’s Food Fight (8pm, Channel 4.)

There’s a comedy theme this evening, too. ITV1’s You’ve Been Framed (6pm) is followed by festive favourite All New It’ll Be Alright on the Night at 9pm- the programme is still going an unbelievable 35 years after it started with Griff Rhys Jones now at the helm. The best of auntie’s bloopers involve Ant and Dec, Bradley Wiggins and Holly Willoughby.

And if you haven't toned those stomach muscles with enough laughter check out Channel 4’s The 50 Funniest Moments of 2012 which include our esteemed Prime Minister and his Eton pal the Mayor of London boogeying along to the Spice Girls.

Pause for reflection watching national treasures Alison Steadman and David Jason star in 2010 telly drama Come Rain Come Shine (9pm, ITV3). And for those of you who enjoy a snack after midnight, black comedy horror Gremlins at 10.15pm on ITV1 should put you off.
