With season four having ended on a cliffhanger, fans have been patiently waiting for Arrested Development to return to Netflix.
Finally, after almost five years, the streaming service has announced the show’s return date – 29 May – and released a teaser trailer featuring Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jessica Walter, and David Cross.
Despite sexual allegations having been made against Jeffrey Tambor last year, the actor appears throughout the trailer. Tambor was fired from the Amazon show Transparent following allegations made by a former assistant, allegations he has recently spoken about.

Arrested Development's fourth season has also been "remixed" by the show's creator, changed from a 15-episode season into 22-episodes, featuring a few minutes of added footage. The "remix" has already launched onto Netflix, each episode no longer focussing on separate characters.
The show was initially shown on FOX, who produced three award-winning seasons before cancelling the series. Netflix later picked up the show following the cancellation, season five being the second season they have produced.
