Netflix has debuted the first trailer for Better Call Saul season 2, featuring new footage and seeing Jimmy start to morph into Saul.

"I’ve been doing the right thing for all these years now and where has it gotten me? Nowhere,” he is seen telling Kim, before accepting a no-doubt criminal job offer from fixer Mike.

Trodden down time and time again in season one, the trailer suggests Jimmy will give up being Mr. Nice Guy, though perhaps won’t go as far as a certain frustrated chemistry teacher did.

A potentially big spoiler, Kim is also heard in the trailer accusing Jimmy of faking evidence. Chuck is also ominously absent.

Season 2 premieres on AMC on 16 February, hitting Netflix shortly after.

It will consist of 10 episodes - the same as season 1 - despite AMC having originally ordered 13.

Co-creator Peter Gould promised however that they are “10 big, big episodes”.

Better Call Saul earned six Primetime Emmy Award nominations earlier this year but failed to win in any of the categories. Bob Odenkirk is however up for a prize at this weekend’s Golden Globes.
