Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reunited for a 6-minute Emmy teaser called 'Barely Legal Pawn' and it's wonderful

Actors play redneck pawn shop owners, briefly give a glimpse of Walt and Jesse

A possible foreshadowing of Breaking Bad's success at the awards ceremony (Cranston's wearing red, what does it mean?!), the 2013 Emmys has released a promo video starring Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston that sees the duo back in their meth-cooking gear.

The actors' special bond has lasted long after Breaking Bad finished, and in this latest reunion they're on top form, playing a pair of po-dunk pawn shop owners buying an Emmy off Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The 6-minute short sees Paul chewing tobacco in stained dungarees, while Cranston echoes his Drive character Shannon in an old bowling shirt, with plenty of nods to Breaking Bad and Veep and jokes about the worth of a supporting actor Emmy (something Paul staunchly defends).

The video, which is sadly only a one-off, goes widescreen at its finish, with Louis-Dreyfuss being lured backstage and Paul and Cranston cracking out the acid cans and gas masks a la Walt and Jesse, only for them to reveal that the pawn shop is also a puppy bathing business. The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, with Breaking Bad facing competition from True Detective, Game of Thrones and Mad Men for the Outstanding Drama Series award.
