Celebrity Traitors live: Kate Garraway banished after Celia Imrie’s ‘murder’ as final is set

Final contestants set after more Faithfuls are eliminated in penultimate episode as Joe Marler plots against Alan Carr and Cat Burns

Kate Garraway banished after Celia Imrie’s ‘murder’

The Celebrity Traitors contestants have done it again and eliminated another Faithful as Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway was banished on Thursday’s episode following the “murder” of Celia Imrie.

In the penultimate episode of the hit BBC show, Alan Carr and Cat Burns managed to successfully avoid detection from the Faithful and both made it through to next week’s final.

The episode began with a dinner party where Alan Carr “murdered” actor Celia Imrie in plain sight, bringing to an end her amazing run on the show.

When it came to the challenge, the contestants successfully completed a surreal laser beam challenge that involved mannequin heads of former contestants.

At the roundtable, things became heated again when David Olusoga and Kate took aim for each other. However, the cast ultimately voted for Kate, who said she’d had an “amazing game” after “years of being very serious, very sad”.

The episode ended with Claudia Winkleman telling the contestants that there will be no murder tonight, meaning the final is between Alan, Cat, David, Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed.

Interestingly, Joe has sussed out that Alan and Cat are Traitors and has convinced Nick that they are too. Will he manage to convince David? All those questions will be answered in next week’s grand finale.

The Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday, November 6 at 9pm on BBC One.

30 minute warning klaxon!

There is just half an hour to go until the penultimate episode of Celebrity Traitors!

Which of the Faithful will survive? Will Alan and Cat both make it to the final? What other twists will Claudia have in store?

All these questions and more will be answered by 10pm.

What to expect on tonight's Celebrity Traitors

After the “murder” of Lucy and Jonathan’s banishment on Wednesday, there are just seven contestants left. Alan and Cat are the only two Traitors, while Joe, Celia, Kate, David and Nick make up the remaining Faithful.

Claudia announced at the end of last night’s episode that from now on, the contestants will not have to declare if they are a Faithful or a Traitor when they are banished.

Claudia also invited all the celebrities to a dinner party to celebrate them catching their first Traitor (which seems like a lot of food, considering they’d just treated themselves to lasagne).

However, Alan and Cat were told that they would have to “murder” another Faithful in plain sight during the dinner party. To make things extra tricky for the pair, to commit the murder, one of them will have to raise a toast and say: “Parting is such sweet sorrow”, followed by the victim's name.

Joe has a shield, so is therefore protected from murder, meaning that either Celia, David, Nick or Kate will be offed in the opening stages of the episode.

As the final looms, the tension and excitement is palpable and I’m just talking bout my front room. Goodness knows what it was like in the Traitors castle...

And we're off!

The last but one episode of Celebrity Traitors has begun. Who will survive and what will be left of them?

Deadly dinner party begins

Well the dinner party has begun. They’ve got a starter of cheese and crackers. Probably sensible as they’ve just had lasagne.

In a lovely moment, David says that not only has he found the game hard, he admits that it has “changed him”.

Celia adds that its “lovely” that all the contestants have been themselves. Kate reiterates this by saying that she has been “inspired” by everyone.

Nice to have a bit of warmth and friendship on the Traitors for once.

Alan delivers the fatal blow!

Alan is more like himself in the previous episode. Gone is the dastardly villain and he’s absolutely bricking it.

However, the comedian delivers the fatal blow and says “parting is such sweet sorrow”.

In a typical Traitors fashion we don’t see who it was.

Kate survived. It’s between Nick, Celia and David!

Greg Evans30 October 2025 21:13

Celia has been murdered!

Well, well. Alan has decided to murder Celia!

This is a major shock but it was the easiest option for Alan has he was sitting right next to her.

What a shame for the icon. She’s been excellent in this game.

The actor says she’s loved being on the game but is “devastated”.

Claudia tells the contestants Celia was 'murdered' in plain sight

In a big twist Claudia tells the cast that Celia was “murdered” in plain sight but she doesn’t say how.

Immediately they all try and figure out how this happened and devise that Jonathan was involved, even though he’d already been banished.

Alan might have gotten away with one here!

Kate thinks that sundried tomatoes might have something to do with Celia’s murder. Honestly, you have to respect the ridiculousness of it!

Greg Evans30 October 2025 21:21

Oh no! David and Nick are colluding together and think Joe might have something to do with Celia’s elimination.

Alan is getting away with murder here. He can’t even look at Joe!
