Chet Hanks claims it's going to be a 'white boy summer'

Chet Hanks, the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, has claimed that his ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker “attacked” him.

US publication TMZ has obtained video of what the Your Honour star claims is an altercation between him and Parker on 8 January at Hanks’s home in Texas.

In January, Parker was reportedly granted a restraining order against Hanks after she alleged that he was violent towards her.

She had claimed that one of the violent incidents took place in New Orleans, where Hanks was starring in Your Honour. Hanks has denied the allegations and claimed he did not know about the restraining order.

Hanks recently filed a lawsuit against Parker over the alleged altercation in January. He is suing her for assault and battery, theft and return of the money she allegedly stole from him.

Parker’s attorney, D’Angelo Lowe, told TMZ that Parker is under a doctor’s care at the moment and that she has contacted Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson about the restraining order she is trying to make permanent.

TMZ reported that Parker claimed she went to Hanks’s home to collect her belongings and that he began “antagonising her and grabbed a knife in a menacing way”.

The report said: “That’s when she says she grabbed a pot in self-defence and swung it... She claims he chased her out to the street, where she says he attacked her.”

Chet Hanks’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told the publication that “Chet Hanks confronted Kiana Parker about stealing money from his credit card, while Ms Parker was accompanied by a huge male carrying a gun”.

He continued: “She viciously attacked Chet with a knife, which caused him to profusely bleed”. He added: “It is all on video and the undisputed video tells the whole story. Her claims are completely false, fabricated and fictional.”

The Independent has contacted representatives for Chet Hanks for comment.

Hanks recently drew ridicule for declaring a “white boy summer” in 2021. He shared a video on Instagram asking if his followers could “vibe” with his idea.

“Okay guys, look I just wanted to tap in really quick,” he said. “I just got this feeling, man, that this summer is about to be a white boy summer, you know? Take it how you want.”

The aspiring rapper continued: “I’m not talking about Trump, you know, NASCAR type white. I’m talking about me, Jon B, Jack Harlow type white boy summer. Let me know if you guys can vibe with that and get ready, because I am.”
