Doctor Who Christmas Special 2014 start-time and date revealed
Peter Capaldi will star in his first festive episode on Christmas Day

The Tardis is set to land on Christmas Day at 6.15pm.
The BBC has released the official date and time of the Doctor Who Christmas special, which will see Peter Capaldi star in his first festive episode as the Time Lord.
The Thick of It actor made his debut appearance as the Doctor during last year's Christmas special.
Capaldi will be joined by companion Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, as well as guest stars Natalie Gumede, Nathan McMullen, Michael Troughton and Faye Marsay for the festive special.
“Last Christmas”, which stars Nick Frost as Santa Claus, will see the Doctor and Clara trapped on an Arctic base under attack from monster-like creatures as they call on Father Christmas for help.
Nick Frost’s Santa was seen on screen briefly in the series five Christmas finale “Death in Heaven”, moments after the Doctor parted ways with Clara.
The Doctor Who Christmas special will be sandwiched between Strictly Come Dancing and Call the Midwife on BBC1 on Christmas Day, and will be up against Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs on ITV.
