Gogglebox star jokes that Piers Morgan ‘had his a*** handed to him’ by Alex Beresford as show reacts to GMB
‘Didn’t know you could let fireworks off at half six in the morning,’ Pete Sandiford joked
Gogglebox’s Sophie Sandiford said that Piers Morgan “had his a*** handed to him” by Alex Beresford as the show’s stars reacted to this week’s Good Morning Britain.
In Friday (12 March) night’s highly anticipated episode of Gogglebox, the families tuned in to watch Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey and Morgan’s response on GMB.
During Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, the Morgan doubled down on his criticism of Meghan, having previously said that he “didn’t believe” her comments that she considered taking her own life.
He was then confronted by weather presenter Beresford, who branded the host “diabolical” as Morgan subsequently stormed off set.
“Oh look at him, he’s boiling,” Tom Malone Sr said as Beresford addressed Morgan.

“Didn’t know you could let fireworks off at half six in the morning,” Pete Sandiford joked.
As Morgan stood up and left the studio, Gogglebox’s participants watched on in shock.
“Shut up, is he walking out?” Marcus Luther commented incredulously, while Tom Malone Sr said: “Go on, get gone. Shut the door behind him.’

“I don’t get why he’s walked off, because that’s not him at all,” Pete said, with his sister Sophie replying: “Well, he has just had his a*** handed to him on national telly by the weather man.”
Following Morgan storming out of Good Morning Britain, it was announced that the host was leaving the show after six years.
On Friday, Morgan confirmed on Instagram that he had quit after refusing to apologise for his comments about Markle.
