JK Rowling might have crushed our dreams by ruling out a Harry Potter TV series , but the good news is that there will soon be a channel fully dedicated to the boy wizard’s adventures.
Sky Movies Harry Potter is launching on 24 October, featuring all eight films in the hit Hogwarts franchise, documentaries, behind-the-scenes specials, exclusive extended versions and interviews with lead stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
The magical takeover will run for a week, coinciding with Halloween and school half-term holidays, in early celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone ’s film release. The Potter movies will remain on demand on Sky Movies for the whole year.

Harry Potter films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 The Harry Potter machine marches on and the dismal Quidditch game (no doubt) gets another tedious outing. Next year will see the first Harry Potter theatre production , Harry Potter and the Cursed Child , reach the West End.
Rowling is staying tight-lipped on the storyline, but has repeatedly emphasised that it is not a prequel to her books. She will not be releasing the play as a novel, after telling her millions of Twitter followers that the stage is “the only proper medium for the story” in June.
