Annabel Giles has become the first celebrity to be voted out of the Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

American sitcom star Alfonso Ribeiro joined former model Annabel in the bottom two but was saved, to his evident disappointment.

Hosts Ant and Dec made viewers wait until the end of the show to find out who would be leaving, after the celebrities had tackled a group bushtucker trial, 'Critter Crates'.

Despite only being there a week, Annabel's fear of creepie crawlies was made all too apparent, as was her unease with fireworks and confetti as she walked across the bridge to rejoin civilisation.

Tensions in camp had been running high before the first eviction, particularly among the women.

Miss Universe GB model Amy Willerton has been dividing opinion since the celebrities entered the jungle two weeks ago and was lectured by Alfonso earlier in the show for hiding a 'contraband' concealer.

EastEnders actress Laila "Mo" Morse, Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter and the newly-evicted Annabel have all voiced their distaste for the 21-year old model, claiming that she doesn't pull her weight with the chores and is too concerned with her image.

"I work in the modelling industry and compete in pageants and not once have I experienced cattiness like I have in here," an upset Amy told the cameras.

"It is from women who are a lot older than me and it just makes me feel extremely disappointed."

Viewers have been left confused by camp reactions to Amy, with many suggesting that jealousy is playing a part.

Reality TV star Joey Essex and Westlife's Kian Egan remain the firm favourites to be crowned jungle king after they were chosen by the public, along with Amy, to act as camp saviours and award immunity to certain campmates.

The three celebrities opted to save Strictly Come Dancing professional Vincent Simone, fashion designer David Emmanuel, Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and Laila from the public vote.

Chat show host Matthew Wright won immunity by being the first celebrity to unlock himself from a crate of bugs in the earlier bushtucker trial.
