However, some fans of the show took things a little too far when they "sort of forced” Corden to sing along to their favourite tracks while they drove around London.
He told The Wrap: ”I was crossing the street in London a few weeks ago and there were these four kids. They were like 18, 19.
“They sort of forced me to get in the car. They all had their camera phones out and we were just singing along to the radio. I was like, 'Am I being kidnapped?’”
In the same interview, the ex-Gavin and Stacy star spoke about the segment’s huge success: "To see it take off in the manner that it has is just overwhelming and thrilling. You just never think that it would be something that would get watched so many times."
Carpool Karaoke has been such a success around the world that Apple Music has picked up a spin-off show (without Corden as host).
