Kevin Spacey's House of Cards co-star 'dismayed' by sexual assault allegations
Actress Rachel Brosnahan starred in the Netflix drama's first three seasons
Kevin Spacey's former House of Cards co-star Rachel Brosnahan has commented on the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against the actor.
The actress, who played Rachel Posner in the Netflix series' first three seasons, has revealed she was “dismayed” by the news which saw multiple people - including House of Cards crew members - come forward with their own accusations of assault at the hands of the actor.
When asked about how she felt when she heard that the actor, who played the co-lead character of President Frank Underwood in the hit political drama alongside Robin Wright, Brosnahan told Metro: “Disappointed. Dismayed. I'm really grateful for this moment we're having in Hollywood right now. I'm so grateful for the people coming forward and speaking out, as a young woman in the industry, speaking out and empowering others to speak out.”

Show all 6In the series, Brosnahan - who stars in new Amazon Prime series The Marvelous Mrs Maisel from the creator of Gilmore Girls - shared the majority of her screen time with Michael Kelly who plays Underwood's aide Doug Stamper. She didn't share a scene with Spacey across her three seasons.
The allegations against Spacey date back to the 80s. Upon the news, Netflix cut ties with the actor reportedly sending House of Cards showrunners on a "race against the clock" to rework scripts for the sixth and final season to remove his character.
It was later reported, however, that Netflix may have to end the show altogether because of a term in the actor's contract.
