Love island first look 22nd of July

After months of flirting, fighting and fornicating for the UK public’s viewing pleasure, Love Island has entered its final full week of broadcast spearheaded by... the annual lie detector episode.

So, how did it all go down? Well, like a lead balloon mostly. The boys were put to the test as their partners wrote questions in the hope they'd pass with flying colours. Josh and Wes did which left Kaz and Megan with big old grins on their faces.

Things went a bit awry as Paul, new Jack and Dr Alex stepped up to the plate with the former leaving Laura frustrated as the lie detector revealed he could have his head swayed on the outside.

The same went for Jack who, despite the lie detector test revealing he not only loves Dani but wants to be with her forever, came to blows with her after failing the question: "Would you be tempted by other girls on the outside?"

We here at The Independent are dedicated to the cause and live-blogged all the lie detector results which you can catch up with below - please give the live-blog a few seconds to load.

Love Island continues weekdays and Sunday on ITV2 at 9pm.

Jack and Dani against the ropes? I'm not having it. But everyone else in there must be secretly keeping their fingers crossed in the hope they break up so they can snatch the £50k. Too cynical?
