Love Island catch-up: Yewande has a new crush, and three other talking points
All the latest from the Spanish villa
Love Island's second week began on Monday – and the arrival of newcomer Danny in the villa seems to be stirring up some drama among the islanders.
Yewande is quite taken with Danny, who picked her to go on a first date with him – and while Danny seems to like her, he's still very early in his Love Island career and unlikely to settle on a partner just yet. Oh, and Molly-Mae is quite interested in Danny, too.
Amber also got to on a date with Danny, but she seems significantly less enthused than Yewande when it comes to the new islander. Does that mean she's ready to get closer to Michael? The preview for next week's episode, which includes a steamy kiss between the two, certainly seems to suggest so.
Yewande is smitten with Danny
Yewande and Danny clearly had chemistry during their first date together. The conversation flew freely, and Yewande, who hadn't been charmed by any of the islanders so far, seemed to be having a great time. During a later conversation in the kitchen, she told Danny he had nice eyes and he told her she had nice everything. So, she likes him, he certainly seems to like her – things should be pretty smooth sailing, right? Well, not so fast.
Molly-Mae is intrigued by the newcomer
Molly-Mae, who is currently coupled up with Tommy, has had her interest piqued by Danny. She's not sure whether she likes him more or less than Tommy, though – and she has also previously expressed interest for Anton. Yewande is none too pleased at Molly-Mae's interest in Danny. The new islander, meanwhile, wants to take his time and get to know everyone in the villa, which seems fair enough. Still, it seems like we're headed towards a new love triangle, right after the Lucie/Joe/Tommy situation has been resolved.
Amber is keeping her options open... or is she?
Amber appears to quite like Michael, but she remained coy during this episode, telling him she wants to keep him guessing for as long as possible. The preview for tomorrow's episode, however, shows them sharing a kiss, so it seems as though the situation is ready to evolve between those two.
Curtis and Amy are still going strong
Yes, Amy had to remind herself that Curtis is not, technically, her boyfriend – they have only known each other for a week, after all. But they remain the villa's most solid couple so far, and kissed quite a few times in the span of one episode (to the point that Curtis had to wash some of Amy's makeup off his lips). The teaser for tomorrow's episode shows Curtis and Amy heading to the hideaway, and we all know what that means by now.

Danny's been single for 10 months and Yewande for four years – so they're both ready for love.
The islanders are wondering what their new villamate Danny will be like.
Yewande is not wondering since she's on a date with him! She's now talking about her job – standard first date fare. Danny is asking her about her type of man – she likes a tall guy, which he is. This all seems to be going quite well.
It's nice to see Yewande getting more screen time! Danny seems to have a bit of an understated attitude, which could be a nice fit for her.
Amber is the next one to go on a date with Danny! She's a bit nervous. Molly-Mae urges her to be charismatic and chatty.
Molly-Mae sort of wishes she were going on a date with Danny too – she's curious about the latest arrival.
Yewande's back and the other islanders cannot wait to pick her brains. She tells them Danny's tall and "not in your face", which is a good thing. She also found him intelligent and doesn't believe he'll be Amber's type. Yewande seems pretty taken with the newest islander!
She's still debriefing her date with Anna and swooning over Danny's eye contact mastery.
