If you’ve been on the internet in the last week, you’ll likely have heard of Pokémon Go. People have quit their jobs to play the viral sensation, and now Homer Simpson is getting in on the action.

In an attempt to stay on trend, the creators of The Simpsons reworked a scene from season 25 to feature the yellow-skinned father playing the Nintendo game.

Instead of looking after Bart and Lisa, Homer spends his time trying to catch Rattata and Drowzee, leading to a Lion almost eating his son. Watch above.

Recently, the couch gags have been making headlines, The Simpsons having paid homage to Ikea, Disney and 80s action flicks.

In other Simpsons news, one of the show’s writers described how letting Smithers come out as gay earlier this season was a hugely personal choice, inspired by his own son.

Meanwhile, Pokémon Go servers have been sporadically going down, with one hacker group claiming responsibility for the outage.
