Piers Morgan mimics Tom Cruise’s on-set Covid rant on Good Morning Britain
Presenter said the rant was ‘not a good look’ for the Mission: Impossible star
Piers Morgan has amused Good Morning Britain viewers with a full-throated impression of Tom Cruise’s recent on-set Covid rant.
The actor was recorded screaming at crew members on the set of the forthcoming action-thriller Mission: Impossible 7.
In the explicit clip, Cruise expressed his anger at the production staff after learning that they had broken coronavirus safety protocols.
"If I see you do it again, you're f***ing gone,” he says in the clip, obtained by The Sun, adding: “We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. Because they believe in us and what we’re doing.
“I’m on the phone with every f***ing studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers. I don’t ever want to see it again. Ever!”
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Morgan performed an impression of the rant, shouting at staff: “Don’t you ever do that again! I’m gonna fire you, alright?”
The presenter also wished Cruise “good luck”, claiming that film crews are “a vengeful bunch” when you “go after” them.
However, Morgan added that he didn’t think it was a “good look” for Cruise.
“You can go and have a quiet word with these guys,” he said. “That felt really like he’s on the edge. Weird.”
