The Affair season 3 trailer teases dramatic time-jump
The third outing will take place three years after the climax of season 2

Award-winning US drama The Affair is returning for a new season and the first trailer has teased a dramatic time jump.
Season 3 will jump forward to three years following the climactic events of the second season which saw things not looking too bright for Noah Solloway (Dominic West).
All the main four players are returning for more including Ruth Wilson as Alison Lockhart, Joshua Jackson as Cole Lockhart and Maura Tierney in the Emmy-nominated role of Helen Solloway.
The Showtime series' trademark formula is expected to remain (episodes told through different viewpoints) and an entire new character will be added - played by Irène Jacob - who will provide noah with a new love interest.
For its first season, The Affair won a Golden Globe for Best Drama in 2015 as well as the Best Actress gong for Wilson; Tierney won in the Supporting Actress category for its follow-up.
The Affair season 3 returns in the US on 20 November with a UK airdate expected to follow soon after on Sky Atlantic.
