IN COLOGNE, it can be done on stage: the city's opera company has just given the premiere of a work composed by high-school students. Der Kinderkreuzzug (The Children's Crusade), based on a novel by Marcel Schwob, was written with the help of Stefan Hakenberg, a student of Hans Werner Henze. The project was set up as a co-production with the Gurzenich Orchestra and the school.
