The A2070, to Brenzett in Kent, doesn't lead to the coast, but it will be jammed over this Bank Holiday weekend. Lydd Airport is preparing to welcome thousands of revellers for 19 hours of music, six arenas and more than 60 DJs, courtesy of World of Dance.

The six individually designed arenas, each offering a distinct continent of global grooves, are available in an event that combines the Crystal Maze with Tribal Gathering... and avoids the pitfalls of both.

Since 1989, The World Dance Organisation has successfully staged more than 20 all-night dance events in the UK, and has built up a loyal membership of more than 8,000 people. Some seven years down the line, the WDO stages its most ambitious event to date.

The first arena, Solaris, in the main hangar, will house a furnace of hardcore Drum'n'Bass. Top DJs Goldie and Mickey Finn headline on the turntables - this area is strictly for those who dress to sweat. Other arenas offer deep house, techno, trip-hop and old skool. Additional attractions include a giant skateboard ramp, outdoor pool, market stalls and full fairground. Promoters invariably promise the earth. World of Dance gigs are the exception to the rule; believe the hype, they deliver.
