Games Review: Fantastic Contraption
iPhone/iPod Touch, inXile Entertainment, £2.99
Although it’s been on sale for a couple of weeks, I’ve only just encountered the genius of Fantastic
Contraption. The idea is to build machines using simple parts in order to complete a goal. Sounds
straightforward, but this will have gamers exploring physics and making like mad inventors as soon
as they hit “start”. Like virtual Meccano, this is a clever game that really gets you thinking. You
can’t fly, jump or bounce, but it’s the inbuilt limitations that make this title great.
