Brendan Rodgers has decided to play Raheem Sterling up front and left all of his strikers on the bench.

Ever since Luis Suarez has left Anfield and Daniel Sturridge got injured the Reds have been suffering in attack as ‘super signing’ Mario Balotelli has only scored two goals in 14 appearances.

The Italy international and Rickie Lambert are both starting from the bench and Liverpool’s attack is consisted of Sterling up front with Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho next to him.

We can expect at least one of the strikers to eventually play today but it seems that they have plenty of trust to earn both from the bench and the stands.

A bold move by the Reds gaffer but it might just pay off as the 20-year-old has already had a chance.
