"Oh no, not again" might be your response to the news that Elvis is back, in view of the recent Presley overkill to mark the 20th anniversary of his death. Yet today's Elvis is Back! via satellite sale at London's Bonhams offers an alternative to the endless diet of Elvis films and concert footage. Following the success of the satellite link-up between Tokyo and London for their Beatles sale, Bonhams are staging a repeat performance between Knightsbridge and Berlin's Hard Rock Cafe. More than 300 lots are set to go under the hammer in the one of the largest collections of Presley paraphernalia ever assembled, with a total estimated price of pounds 500,000. The sale, with prices ranging from pounds 120 to pounds 120,000, reflects every aspect of the King's life, as a child, musician, army conscript and glutton. An autographed photo of Elvis as a bouncing baby is estimated at pounds 4,000, while an ashtray from the Graceland homestead is a snip at just pounds 120. At the more costly end of the market are Elvis's coveted stage suits. His trademark Peacock Suit, handstitched with gold thread and blue rhinestones, is expected to fetch up to pounds 120,000, while his "I Can Dream" suit is set to make a cool pounds 90,000.

Among the more macabre memorabilia is a satin ribbon taken from his grave, a clipping of his quiff cut just before his show in 1972 at Madison Square Garden and the lining from his coffin.
