Saddled up. Bike: Cycles surveys the history of the push bike from its origins in the early 19th century to its proposed role as the urban transport of the next century. Amongst the 85 bikes on display, the earliest pre-pedal velocipedes stand alongside the latest generation of space-age machines of Trek, Brompton, Moulton, Riese Muller and Specialised, the choice of which is Chris Boardman's gold-medal-winning monococque. Taken... a dip in the Indus? Last year marked the 50th anniversary of Pakistan's inception as a state. Colours of the Indus: Costume and Textiles of Pakistan, at the V & A, is a vibrant display of cotton and silk clothing and household textiles, testament to the nomadic character of the area's populations throughout history.
