The first hotel of Italian designer Giorgio Armani will open its doors at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai on the evening of April 27 with a show staged by fashion students.
Studying at the French fashion university Esmod, the 25 aspiring designers were monitored by Armani to dress their models in his creations for the event.
Tamara Hostal, founder and director of the Dubai outpost of Esmod, said: "This very memorable partnership supports our focus on creating development programs that expose our students to local and international opportunities."
The relationship between hotels and fashion has increasingly tightened with W Hotels being the first to appoint their own fashion director and New York's Fashion26 offering special shopping services. Also, teen star Miley Cyrus is currently hosting a design competition at virtual hotel and social networking site Habbo.com.
