It's been quite a season for bridal inspiration, first we were treated to a look at Angelina Jolie's unusual art adorned Versace gown for her wedding to Brad Pitt and then came Amal Alamuddin's traditional Oscar de la Renta number.

If that's given you a taste for all things wedding related then you're in luck, because it's not just the ready-to-wear and couture collections that have bi-annual presentations of their new season collections, bridal houses are also in on the act.

New York Bridal week has just come to an end following a week of shows with bridal designers showcasing their autumn 2015 collections.

Some of the biggest names in bridal fashion including Vera Wang, Temperley and Marchesa all staged catwalk presentations.

For the bride-to-be in search of THE dress, these collections represent the designs that will be available to buy in stores worldwide from early next year.

Just like the mainline ready-to-wear shows, the bridal collections presents seasonal trends in wedding dresses. Whimsical, bohemian designs were popular with floaty layers of tulle and delicate lace.

Pastel hued dresses popped up at a various shows as opposed to the usual whites and cream. More modern style-led designs were also showcased by labels such as Houghton.
