Sarah Jessica Parker launches bridal range

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has launched her first ever, ready-to-wear bridal collection.

Titled SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Bridal, the range has been created in collaboration with US retailer Gilt.

Comprising 10 different styles, each piece in the womenswear collection has been designed for a number of occasions including bridal showers and wedding receptions, with everything from classic dresses and gowns to modern bodysuits and jumpsuits.

Designed with non-traditional brides in mind, the colour palette includes black, blush pink, poppy red, light grey and blue as well as classic white.

“The intent is they should be usable outside of that special occasion,” Parker told WWD.

“Whether you’re the person walking down the aisle, or you’re attending, these are all pieces that should be relevant in your closet.”

Feather skirt, £808

Produced in New York, the entire range was made using delicate fabrics sourced from Spain, Italy and France, and while the majority of the collection centres on simplicity, the addition of fanciful bows, feathers and intricate embroidery elevates the offering to bridal heights.

What’s more, as part of the launch Gilt will also be selling a number of exclusive styles from Parker’s footwear line, with some of her bestselling silhouettes available in new colour ways and heel heights.

Fit & flare dress, £483

“Not only is Sarah Jessica Parker’s style known around the world, her point of view is one of a kind,” said Tom Ott, chief merchant of Gilt.

“Sarah Jessica brings her impeccable taste and fashion sensibility to life in this collection. We think our customers will be delighted with the offering which is stylish and well priced in the bridal category.”

Belted maxi dress, £635

The bridal collection ranges from £210 to £1,700, while the shoes range from £250 to £345.

Trinity pump, £463
Cosette 50 metallic block-heel pumps, £458
