This isn't what we meant by an extra hot pizza...

A YouTube star poured a cup of molten copper onto a takeaway pizza with eye-opening results.

The account specialises in recording videos of 1,085-celsius liquid metal being doused over everyday foodstuffs.

But his most recent update is one of the most intense yet.

It shows the liquid copper being scooped out of a glowing red pot, before being poured on top of the pizza in two circles.

The greasy takeaway instantly ignites, sending flames up to half a metre into the air and quickly blackening the entire top of the pizza.

YouTube user Tito4re eventually cools the metal by dousing it in water, managing to lift the set metal up using his hands.

Surprisingly, when he flips over the pie, the bottom of the base is relatively unscathed.

The videos are incredibly popular, clocking up to eight million views for some of the most spectacular.

Last year he filmed the aftermath of copper being poured into a coconut shell, which saw the coconut milk instantly superheating and bubbling over.

Afterwards, he smashed open the shell to reveal a glittering copper orb.

Earlier this year he doused a McDonalds Big Mac in the screaming-hot liquid metal, but the beef patties emerged surprisingly unscathed.
