Ubisoft are getting ready to release one of their biggest games of the year, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, supporting it with a TV spot and a launch trailer.

Main character Ezio Auditore finds the people of Rome oppressed by a corrupt hierarchy and sets about restoring the city, with a little bit of help from Renaissance genius Leonardo Da Vinci, and at the expense of the lives of Rome's overlords.

The North American television commercial portrays modern-day consequences of the historical hitman's quests, while the European launch trailer details the game's single player mode, as Ezio negotiates the walls and roofs of Rome with ease, and carrying upon his person an array of concealed weaponry.

The clambering adventurousness found in the original Assassin's Creed expanded on the climbing and combat of the Prince of Persia and Lara Croft games. It brought about a renewed vigor for city-scaling game heroes, soon seen cropping up in titles such as Infamous, Prototype, and The Saboteur.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the third console game in the series and the first one to include a multiplayer mode, launches on November 16 in North America and November 19 in Europe; a cheaper PC version follows in February 2011.
