New American zombie-themed TV series The Walking Dead is at the top of Twitter's most talked about topics list with the term "#TheWalkingDead" on the morning of November 8.

In second, third and fourth places are the hashtags "confessiontime," "whatdowomenwant" and "welldone."

The MTV Europe Music Awards took place on Sunday November 7 in Madrid and Twitter users around the word are tweeting, "Lady Gaga wins Best Female at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards," "Magazines going nuts at Miley Cyrus side-boob at the MTV Europe awards - Haha" and "Pissed i missed the MTV Europe Awards. Im gonna youtube it later with some popcorn and get my watch on."

Meanwhile, an ongoing war between the fans of Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber and American pop boy band the Jonas Brothers has flared up again as microbloggers use their 140 characters and the term "Jonas Fans" to tweet why they think fans of their favorite artist(s) are better.

The name of a brand new social browser called "RockMelt" is sixth on Twitter's trending topics list. It is followed by the name of new Rihanna track " Raining Men," the name of Miley Cyrus' TV show Hannah "Montana Forever," and the name of Indian cricket player V.V.S. "Laxman" in seventh, eighth and tenth places respectively.
