New details of FIFA 15's features have emerged, including images of the Premier League's 20 stadiums as they appear in the game, comparisons of top players' face between game and reality and the inclusion of 'goal-line technology'.

EA released the news about its bigger than ever selection of UK stadiums as it extends its role as Official Sports Technology Partner of the Premier League until the end of the 2018/19 season.

The developer was granted access to all the stadiums so it could recreate them seat-for-seat, in addition to 200 players – with most of the likenesses being uncanny.

"We're extremely pleased to announce the extension of our partnership with the Premier League, the most played league in EA Sports FIFA," said Peter Moore, chief operating officer, EA.

"It brings our award-winning game to new levels of authenticity and realism, and enables fans to immerse themselves in the drama and emotion of the league.

"And as a life-long Liverpool FC fan, I know exactly how that feels!"

Lionel Messi will be the cover star of the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS game once more, which has a release date of 26 September in the UK and 23 September in the US.
