Price details and images have leaked ahead of next month’s unveiling of Google’s new flagship smartphones.

The company is set to launch the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 on 4 October.

They’re the follow-ups to the Pixel and Pixel XL, two of the most impressive Android smartphones on the market when they came out a year ago.

According to new images published by Droid Life, the 2017 Pixels will look similar to their predecessors.

The Pixel 2 will reportedly be available in three colour schemes: Kinda Blue, Just Black and Clearly White.

All three will have an immediately recognisable two-tone rear.

The handset, which is widely believed to have been built by HTC, is said to cost $649 (£480) for 64GB of internal storage and $749 (£555) for 128GB.

The XL 2, meanwhile, will be available in Just Black and a visually striking Black & White colour scheme, says Droid Life.

Though it looks similar to the smaller Pixel 2, it’s reportedly being built by LG.

The new version of the XL will reportedly cost $849 (£630) for 64GB of storage and $949 (£700) for 128GB.

Earlier reports have claimed the Pixel 2 will have squeezable sides, similar to the HTC U11, and that the XL 2 will come with a 6-inch display.

A teaser dropped by Google also suggests its main focuses have been on improving battery life and camera quality.
