A product that will turn any flat surface into a touch screen

UK-based company Light Blue Optics (LBO) has unveiled a revolutionary compact projector that lets users interact with images that are projected onto any flat surface.

The device is set to be showcased on January 7 at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Light Touch projector is the company's first released product. It transforms the usually static image created by a projector into interactive multimedia content using Light Blue Optics' proprietary holographic laser projection technology.

The ultra-compact device projects a virtual 10" interactive screen onto almost any surface and the integrated infra-red touch sensing system enables users to interact with the virtual image in exactly the same way they would a use handheld touchscreen device.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity allows users to access and connect with internet-based flash-based applications and engage in social networking and multimedia sharing via the projector.

The device comes equipped with 2GB of onboard Flash memory and has a Micro SD card slot for up to 32GB of storage.
