Samsung Galaxy S10: Five best features to expect in the new smartphone

With just over two weeks to go until the anticipated release date of the Samsung Galaxy S10, the latest leak has given the best indication yet of what the flagship smartphone will look like.

Samsung is expected to officially annouce the Galaxy S10 at an event on 20 February, though countless leaks mean many of the specs seem to already be known.

Three versions of the phone will be offered to customers, each varying in size, specs and price. The standard Galaxy S10 will be complimented by an entry level Galaxy S10 Lite and a top-of-the-line Galaxy S10 Plus.

The latest leak, which comes courtesy of German publication WinFuture, claims to know what colours the handsets will come in.

All three will reportedly come in black, green and white colour schemes, with a yellow version of the Galaxy S10 Lite – or S10e – also available.

According to the publication, a blue version of the Galaxy S10, similar to that of the Galaxy S9, will also be made available at a later date.

Previous leaks have hinted at major upgrades to the smartphone's camera, with the two higher end models expected to feature a triple-lens rear camera that incorporates technology typically found in traditional DSLR cameras.

The Galaxy S10 Plus is also anticipated to be a market leader in numerous categories, featuring an unprecedented 1 terabyte of internal storage and 5G support.

Other stand-out features include reverse wireless charging, which will allow owners to share their battery power with other phones.

Several images of the Galaxy S10 have surfaced online and spread across social media, most notably a prototype that was pictured on a bus in South Korea in January.

The leak appeared to confirm previous rumours that the smartphone will feature a hole-punch screen design to incorporate the front-facing camera.

Other eyebrow-raising features could be an in-screen fingerprint reader and the inclusion of an in-built cryptocurrency wallet.
