Health Update: Vegetarian pain

PARACETAMOL may take longer to lessen aches and pains in vegetarians than in meat eaters, say researchers writing in the Pharmaceutical Journal. They found that absorption of the painkiller into the bloodstream took an hour longer in vegetarians than meat eaters, possibly because of an increased fibre content in their diet.
