Health Update: Without hormones

POSTMENOPAUSAL women who suffer from vaginal dryness, and for whom oestrogen creams are unsuitable, could benefit from using a non-hormonal vaginal moisturiser, according to researchers writing in Fertility and Sterility. A study of 30 women found that Replens, an aqueous gel applied to the vagina, compared well with oestrogen cream in restoring moisture. Replens is available at most chemists.
