According to official figures released today, hospital waiting list numbers in England have fallen by more than 50,000 over the last year.

According to official figures released today, hospital waiting list numbers in England have fallen by more than 50,000 over the last year.

The total number of patients waiting to be admitted to NHS hospitals in England fell by 50,200 between November 1999 and November 2000.

Waiting lists between the end of October last year and the end of November also fell by 3,600 according to the latest figures.

The total number of patients waiting to be admitted to NHS hospitals now stands at 1,021,200.
