In le pink

As the historic home of haute couture, in France we love nothing more than le fashion statement. And they don’t come much grande than the one made by Joey Barge. Sent home for turning up for work in a pair of shorts, he was told to come back in “appropriate clothing”. So he did... a hot pink dress.

So let’s celebrate his ingenuity in an “appropriate” way. Non, I don’t mean by wearing a dress, mes amis. With a glass of Kronenbourg 1664, of course.

Festival spirit

We know two things about the Glastonbury Festival, mes petits music lovers: un, it is the biggest music festival in the world and, deux, it always rains. And this year is no exception, with thunderstorms forecast for the weekend in Somerset.

We hope you have a wonderful time if you have a ticket. There is, however, a rain-free way to enjoy the festival. Simply stay at home and watch it on the TV – sustained by a constant supply of Kronenbourg 1664, naturellement. Santé.

Natural refreshment

It’s très bon to see a new exhibition – A Museum Of Modern Nature - at the Wellcome Collection in London, where residents have donated items that represent what nature means to them in many different ways.

Exhibits range from running shoes and a slice of bread, to a childhood photo from almost a century ago and even a jar of air. But, mes amis, It appears to be missing one exhibit: a glass of Kronenbourg 1664. Well, what could be more au naturel then enjoying your favourite beer.

Left is best

Exciting news for 10 per cent of the population this week, confirming what they probably already knew – left-handed people are smarter. At least at le mathématique.

Scientists have carried out extensive tests and found conclusive proof that le left-handers are significantly better at solving complex maths problems… such as calculating the cost of a round of Kronenbourg 1664 for all their friends to celebrate this achievement!

Feeling the heat

(Alamy (Alamy)

Zut alors, il fait chaud, n’est-ce pas? Or, as you like to say in fewer words: it’s hot! So hot that it’s not just ice creams that are melting - it’s the roads too.

Fortunately, mes amis, there is something that even these tropical temperatures cannot melt. And it’s super refreshing on days like this. It comes from closer to home – Alsace – and you know what it’s called...

For more than 350 years Kronenbourg 1664 has been crafting the taste suprême. For more information go to k1664.co.uk
