Lap dancers reveal men sneak hidden cameras into strip clubs and post videos online

It's a problem which could potentially ruin someone's life

Men are being busted trying to sneak hidden cameras into stripclubs - to post illict videos of lapdances on the internet.

Two adult performers from a central London club told The Independent that it was a “common occurence” for punters to try to covertly film using their mobile phones.

But they said some go even further, trying to sneak in tiny pinhole cameras so they won't get caught.

“It can potentially ruin someone's life,” said one, from Berkshire, “lots of women doing this have bigger ambitions and keep their line of work private.

”If they've got a job on the side, or they plan to enter a profession, then a video of them performing naked appearing online can screw up those plans.“

Another, from Poland, said: ”If you're performing abroad you don't think your friends and family will find out.

“But I know women who've had a text from back home saying they've been seen on the internet, without their knowledge.”

A simple Google search finds scores of voyeur clips of strip club performances, apparently without the consent of anyone being filmed.

Random patdowns at the door, or being scanned with a metal detector, are typically used to stop weapons being taken into these adult nightspots.

But, occasionally, they have led to people with hidden cameras being intercepted and denied entry.

A doorman at another central London club said that while many men attempt to “push the boundaries” of strip club rules, the capital's clubs are some of the most restrictive and closely policed around.

“Some local politicians would love to shut us down, so we stick to every single clause in the license so we can stay in business.

”The no-touching rules are strictly enforced, and the women work in a safe, controlled environment.

“If a customer breaks the rules they're ejected and often barred and, if a dancer breaks the rules they can be refused work.”
