Love Island: Callum's favourite sex position is the 'Butter Churner'

Love Island contestant Callum Jones has sparked confusion online after revealing that the “Butter Churner” is his favourite sex position.

During Monday night’s episode of the ITV2 reality dating show, the islanders took part in the "Spill The Tea" challenge, which saw female contestants link their male counterparts with a series of facts.

The challenge began with Ollie Williams receiving a text which read: “It’s time to stir things up as your steamy secrets are revealed in today’s boys vs girls challenge.

“Spill The Tea. #troubleisbrewing #turnoveranewleaf.”

During one round, Shaughna Phillips, who was coupled up with Callum at the time, had to match a fact to one of the men on the show.

The fact read: “This boy’s favourite sex position is the Butter Churner.”

Taking pride in his admission, Callum proceeded to mime the position to his fellow contestants, but the term still left a number of viewers confused.

Several Twitter users expressed their bewilderment after trying to discover what the sex position was online.

“Everyone defo Googled butter churner and added it to the to-do list #LoveIsIand [sic]”, one person wrote.

Another added: “I’ve just googled “the butter churner” and all I can say is,” followed by a blushing emoji.

A third person warned: “Maybe don’t Google the butter churner #loveisland.”

According to Kinkly.com – a website dedicated to promoting conversations around sex - the "Butter Churner" is an “advanced sex position” which involves the woman lying on her back with her legs raised above and behind her head.

“The thrusting motion in this position is similar to making butter in an old-fashioned butter churner, which is how this position gets its name,” Kinkly states, adding that it is also known as the “Squat Thruster”.

This is not the first time that sex positions have caused a stir on Love Island.

Last year, contestant Curtis Pritchard caused a website to crash after revealing his favoured sex position was the “Eagle”, a position similar to missionary which involves the person underneath positioning their legs in the air.

Meanwhile, the official Twitter account for Love Island claimed that Curtis' admission caused the “Eagle” to become the most searched sex position on the internet.

Later in the same series, contestant Chris Taylor also discussed his favourite sex position, known as the “Anaconda”.

An entry on Urban Dictionary says it is a form of the missionary position which is a "rare combination of a sexual position and a state of euphoria caused by a male and a female being deeply connected to each other sexually, mentally and emotionally".
