Ford Focus drives away "Best of Show" Award from Chicago

The new Ford Focus has been voted "Best New Production Vehicle" at the Chicago Auto Show, which wrapped up February 21.
Twenty-nine percent of visitors voted for the Focus, recently unveiled by Ford, as their favorite production car on display. Just weeks earlier, influential buyers' guide Kelley Blue Book chose the Ford Focus as its pick of the Detroit Auto Show. The new Focus, built on a global architecture and due to be released next year, will eventually be sold in 122 markets.
It is the second time in a row that Ford has taken the award; in 2009 the Ford Taurus was visitors' favorite. Ford was also chosen by 41 percent of visitors as "Best Display" choice, thanks to the interactive displays throughout its booth.
Cadillac's XTS Concept was the favorite concept vehicle, whille the Chevrolet Volt won Best Green Vehicle with 25 percent of the vote. Votes were cast over the ten public opening days of the Chicago Auto Show.
