Know any kids who love bikes? Point them towards the retail chain Halfords in the Easter break for a free entry-level bike workshop.

The sessions are aimed at 7 to 11-year-olds and promise to teach them the basics of looking after their bikes.

Halfords says the classes are ideal for kids who have little to no experience of maintenance and repair.

The sessions will be held at 420 Halfords stores on each Wednesday of the school holidays and places are limited, so you'll need to book in advance at halfords.com/bikeclub.

Make a dummy run with a Madame Tussauds discount

Want to snap a selfie with Katniss? Or stand onstage with Adele? Now you can do both at a bargain price. Madame Tussauds in London is offering a 30 per cent saving on tickets booked online for entry after 3pm until 27 March. It means adult tickets can be bought for £20 and children's tickets at £18, but they must be booked online 24 hours before visiting at madametussauds.com/London.

Travelodge gives customers a break with rooms from £35

Keep taking the Tablets with money off at Asda

Need a new, affordable tablet? Asda is cutting the price of two Polaroid tablets as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Lite from next Thursday, 19 March. The Polaroid Tab 8 will fall from £120 to £79 while the 10-inch version will drop from £125 to £89. The Tab Lite will be reduced from £79 to £69 in Asda stores.

Ask for government help in paying your energy bill

You may be able to claim for financial assistance with your energy bill. The Government reckons 12 per cent of all UK households are eligible, although those who qualify are likely to be vulnerable, such as low-income families, disabled customers and the elderly. For instance, the Government's Warm Home Discount scheme offers rebates of £140 on bills while other support includes trust funds provided by energy suppliers. Call the Home Heat Helpline on 0800 33 66 99. The deadline for claiming is 27 March.

You knew your Churchill and the dogs are on their way
