If you fancy a trip to a West End musical in the next month or so, you can get almost half-price tickets to Billy Elliot if you book by 10am next Tuesday 6 May at Lastminute.com.

Under the offer, top price seats have been cut from £71 to £37.50, while third price seats are down from £41.50 to £27.50.

The offer is valid on tickets booked for Monday to Thursday performances from 5 May to 22 May, and from 2 June to 19 June.

Make a splash in May – with free watersports

It's National Watersports Month, meaning free entry to a range of events across the country, which is designed to encourage more of us to get on the water.

From Southampton to Argyll and Bute in Scotland, and from Norwich to Cardiff, there are more than 400 free watersports-related events taking place across the country during May.

Fire up the Kindle over the Bank Holiday

Over the May Day weekend, Amazon is offering £40 off the price its Kindle Fire HDX tablets, cutting the 7in tablet to £159, or the 8.9in version to £289.

The HDX tablets are the only ones featuring the Mayday button for free on-device tech support.

Set a reminder for Seven Dials' spring festival

Here's one for the diary: on Saturday 17 May, London's Seven Dials and St Martin's Courtyard, in Covent garden, is hosting a Spring Shopping Festival where more than 130 shops, bars and restaurants will offer a 20 per cent discount between noon and 5pm.
