MF warns against tax cuts

The International Monetary Fund has warned the Government against tax cuts unless it can cut spending. In a report on deficits worldwide, the IMF said that "the Government needs to ensure that medium-term budget targets are actually met, which does not allow room for tax cuts unless matched by additional spending restraint".
