Air freight falls but passengers rise
Global air freight traffic was 4.8 per cent lower in October than a year ago, while passenger traffic grew 4.6 per cent but at a slowing pace, according to the International Air Transport Association (Iata). "Since mid-year the market has shrunk by almost 5 per cent and this is far greater than the 1 per cent fall in world trade," Iata said. The weak euro helped passenger traffic into Europe.
