Betfair and Ocado unveil figures
Investors will be taking a close look at results statements from two of 2010's biggest Stock Exchange listings, Betfair and Ocado.
The betting exchange issues its full-year numbers on Wednesday, while the online grocer unveils its half-year figures tomorrow. Analysts at Numis Securities expect Betfair to make its first final-dividend payment as a public company of around 4p, while its net gaming revenue should increase 7 per cent to £325m. Numis sees Betfair as a long-term play, as investments in the site "will pay off in the form of higher growth in due course", so in the short-term shares might struggle. Aerospace giant BAE Systems and retailer Carpetright also announce interim and final results respectively next week.
